The Taffy Town building in the Granary District of Salt Lake City was purchased in 2017 by a developer with the goal of an adaptive reuse of the building. Blalock and Partners were hired to provide several studies including residential, mixed-use, and retail/commercial spaces, as well as develop a new architectural expression for the building. The proposed design exposed the existing interior and exterior structure, contrasted with a contemporary cantilevering front entry.
